PASTOR ANTHONY KING

Pastor Anthony grew up in Kentucky and was saved at the age of nine years old. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Navy and served as a network engineer in the Cryptologic Technician rating. He met his amazing wife, Angela, while stationed in Pensacola, Florida. She had been saved at the age of thirteen at a revival service in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

They were married and moved to the islands, stationed with the Naval Security Group Kunia, a division of the National Security Agency. They soon found Ohana Baptist Church and became faithfully involved in the ministry there. After six years of military service, Anthony was honorably discharged and received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and three Joint Service Achievement Medals.

After separating from the Navy, Anthony and Angela started a computer training and consulting company in downtown Honolulu. In 2003, God called the Kings to serve in full-time, vocational service and they moved to Lancaster, California, where they spent the next nine years serving on staff at the Lancaster Baptist Church under Dr. Paul Chappell.

The Kings returned to the islands in July 2013, this time to establish the Huikala Baptist Church for the city of Honolulu. Pastor Anthony loves spending time with his incredible family and also enjoys lifting heavy stuff at Crossfit Oahu at 6am throughout the week.

The Kings have four children: Thatcher (29), Vanderlei (22), Michellie (15), Tallulah (6).
